How to block guests by IP

Our software offers you a great feature blocking by IP. If you don’t want your competitors see your site, you simply block their IP and they could not enter. If some of your models don’t want people from their country see them, there is nothing more simple then that. Add the list of the certain countries’ IP to the block list. Let’s see how to do it.
1. If you already have the copy of our software and the module of "Block IP" is switched ON on your site please login as admin on the URL like http://studio.yoursite.com. Use your details for login.


2. First of all we have to create the category where you will add all IP which you would like to block. For creating the category please choose the button Settings in the left menu, put your mouse on it and press the left button of your mouse.


3. When you press button Settings it will open the sub-menu. Choose link Edit IP categories and press the left button of your mouse on it.


4. In the right side of the screen will appear a button Add new category. Put your mouse on it and press the left button of your mouse.


5. After pressing button Add new category there will appear a form. To the empty field please type the name of the category. On the right side of the field is drop down menu. Press the left button of your mouse on it and you will see 2 possibilities:
a) Redirect - this point you should use when you would like to block any IP and don't allow people from this IP enter your site.
b) Language - this point you should use if you have multi language site and would like to add a possibility for different countries to open the site in their language. For example, German IP will see site in German language (In the next manual we will explain how can you use point language).
Please choose Redirect from the drop down menu and press the left button of your mouse on the button Save.


6. After pressing Save will appear message: New category '...' successfully created.


7. Please press the left button of your mouse on the button Back.


8. There will appear the category which you just added and you would have few possibilities:
a) Add new sub - this will give you a possibility to add subcategory;
b) If you will press the left button of your mouse on the pencil you can edit this category;
c) If you will press the left button of your mouse on the dustbin you can delete this category.


In our case we should choose Add new sub. We have created the category for redirecting IP, now we should add URL where those IP would be redirected. Press the left button of your mouse on the button Add new sub.
9. New form will be opened. To the marked field type the URL where you would like to redirect your users without http://www. and press the left button of your mouse on the button Save


10. There will appear message New sub-category '...' successfully created.


11. Now when we made all necessary settings let’s go to block IP. Please press the left button of your mouse on the button Other in the main left menu.


12. After pressing button Other will appear sub-menu, choose link IP verification and press the left button of your mouse on this link.


In the right side of the page will appear phrase Select category and on its right side will be drop down menu. Press the lift button of your mouse on the drop down menu.
13. Choose the sub-category which has the name of the URL where your visitors will be redirected. For choosing the sub-category, please press the left button of your mouse on the name of sub-category.


14. New page will be opened and there will be button Add IP. Please press the left button of your mouse on it.


15. New form will appear. There you can see fields First IP and Second IP.


This function allows you to block not only 1 IP, but also block whole networks of IP. If you blocking only 1 IP you will type this IP to the field First IP and also to the field Second IP and press the left button of your mouse on the button Save. If you would like to block the whole networks of IP, then to the field First IP you should type the first IP of the network, to the field second IP type the last IP of the network and press the left button of your mouse on the button Add.
16. After the IP are added and successfully saved you have the possibility to press the left button of your mouse on the button Back.


and it will redirect you to the page with the list of already added IP.


17. You will see the line where it show which IP are already added. If you would like to block more IP please press the left button of your mouse on the button Add IP and repeat all steps from the point 14.
